The McAfee Institute Certified Instructor program is designed for individuals who would like to deliver McAfee Institute's suite of professional certification programs. The MICT program provides resources for individuals to become industry-recognized trainers specializing in the field of intelligence, investigations and cyber. All of McAfee Institute's instructor-led training is a combination of lectures, technical demonstrations, and hands-on labs. McAfee Institute Certified Instructors (MICT) are required to be technically proficient with good instructional skills. The instructor must maintain a high standard of professionalism and teaching preparedness.

If you are not already a certified instructor for other major certification training program (to be approved at the discretion of McAfee Institute), you will be required to pass the McAfee Institute Instructor Exam.
This exam covers the following objectives, among others, and will prepare the potential instructor towards achieving instructional excellence:
Analyze McAfee Institute course material and learner information
Assure preparation of the course
Establish and maintain instructor credibility
Manage the learning environment
Demonstrate effective communication skills
Demonstrate effective questioning skills and techniques

To apply to become a Certified McAfee Institute Instructor (MICT), you must:

Provide us with a certification from a recognized body that you are a certified trainer or an experience letter from a recognized Academic body/ University/ College/ Law Enforcement Academy, etc where you have been actively involved in training or related services.

You must be certified in the program that you intend to teach (eg. to teach CCIP, you will need to hold the CCIP certification, and additionally, if you then want to teach CSMIE, you will need to be CSMIE certified).

The Application process may take 7-10 working days.
The MICT certificate states that you are tested on the skills essential to serving as a trainer, however, it’s only one of the pre-requisites in order to apply toward the Certified McAfee Institute Instructor (MICT) program.
You can lose your MICT status which means you will no more be Authorized to deliver an McAfee Institute Program if: You do not have an Active Sponsor who is an McAfee Institute Authorized Training partner. Your certification is not in Active status, which means you failed to comply with our policies and procedures. McAfee Institute has decided to end your services based on a case against you which violates the Code of Ethics mentioned in the MICT agreement. This may result in termination without warning. Poor evaluations received on either your instructional abilities or your technical knowledge. And you fail to show evidence to work towards improving these. McAfee Institute has sent you notification’s indicating a violation of the process and rules laid in the agreement and you have failed to provide an acceptable explanation or proof to ensure that the actions will not be repeated.
McAfee Institute will sponsor a temp Access for the period of 3 months, so you can ensure you find an McAfee Institute Authorized Training provider who is willing to sponsor your Application. Failing which, your services will be terminated as a MICT. You can choose to reapply when you have all the essentials in place.
Yes, you will be receiving a digital certificate with a unique id available at your Aspen Account as proof of being part of the MICT program
No, The MICT's are not authorized to be involved in any activities related to exam proctoring or certification. McAfee Institute will take strict action against MICT's who influence the Exam results in any way.
McAfee Institute discourages MICT's to deliver any or McAfee Institute programs in with Non- Authorized training partners. If you would like to deliver the program in an Authorized Training Centre, you will need to have special approval from the Training partner who is sponsoring your Application.
